Save the Date Cards are very useful in allowing couples to know that the people most important to them would be aware of the day that they have chosen to tie the knot. This helps your guests to mark their calendars. They are especially great for destination weddings because it helps the guests prepare in advance for this significant date.
These cards are sent out months before, many times as early as the couples have made arrangements with the location where the venue would be held. These cards do not have much information on them besides the date and informing them that it will be a destination wedding. It is best when kept simple. It is nice when the image of the card is tied with what your theme would be, like seashells or palm trees. Many times it is too far in advance that you are yet not sure what the theme would be and if there would be a theme at all, in this case you may opt for a card with your photograph on it and maybe a calendar of the month of the event.
